COMMUNITY

matters.

Kadizora Camp is the only Lodge in our area that employs 95% of the staff from the local community. It is also the only lodge within the concession that is Botswana owned. We are passionate about responsible tourism partnering with conservation organisations, and actively drive community projects that makes a difference.

We designed and built a suitable structure to house 60 chickens for one of our kitchen staff “Nancy”. We have been purchasing Nancy’s eggs for the last two years. We aim to build a suitable structure, to ensure the chickens are comfortable and have sufficient space, with an indoor laying and roosting area, and an outdoor area for fresh air and sunlight.

Facilitating donations from guests, we have successfully managed to provide uniforms for the entire school of approximately 500 pupils and procure a large Xerox copier/printer to assist teachers with the printing of homework sheets and other notes that were previously hand written by each teacher for the pupils in the class.

Many of our guests bring supplies as part of their luggage allocation and we facilitate the delivery of these items.

We offer a village tour to all guests and this provides an experience of village life and often results in donations.
